Job Summary: Provides sales support to account managers and customers from a field-based environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and increases customer base by identifying and contacting all assigned accounts and other sales prospects
  • Presenting sales proposals and establishing rapport and maintaining relationships with potential and existing customer base
  • Coordinates and performs installation of various sales displays at customer retail locations
  • Conducts installation clinics and product knowledge seminars as required
  • Develops and schedules realistic weekly action plan for sales calls and territory travel
  • Maintains a high level of product and vendor knowledge
  • Attends product shows to establish and maintain effective relationships with existing customers and prospective customers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient PC skills
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within the flooring industry
  • Ability to utilize marketing and/or sales promotion techniques
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to persuade and influence others
  • Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate company vehicle
  • Solid Surfaces/Quartz sales experience and/or knowledge preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
