Terms of Service

1) Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service/Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, apps, forums, and services of Edge of Bliss Inc. (“Edge of Bliss,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to your Privacy and Cookie policies (together, the “Agreement”). If you don’t agree, don’t use the Services. We may update the Agreement from time to time; material changes will be announced in-product or by email. Your continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

2) Who We Are & What We Provide

Edge of Bliss is a skills-first career platform for:

Individuals: register, create profiles, interact with others, post resumes, use AI career tools, search/apply for jobs, and post to forums; optional paid upgrades.

Businesses: create profiles, interact with users; paid business plans add job posting, resume search, and AI hiring tools.

We are not an employer, recruiter, or employment agency, and we are not a party to any employment relationship between candidates and employers.

5) Your Content & License

You retain ownership of resumes, profiles, posts, messages, job ads, and other material you submit (“User Content“). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, modify (formatting/transcoding), display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate and improve the Services.

• Visibility: Profiles/resumes and social fields have visibility controls. Forum posts are public.
• Employer access: Paying employer/recruiter/staffing accounts may view candidate data consistent with your visibility choices.
• Accuracy & rights: Post only content you have rights to and that is lawful and accurate. We may remove content that violates the Terms or law.

6) AI Features (Important)

Edge of Bliss provides AI-assisted tools (e.g., resume/cover-letter drafting, skills extraction/matching, interview prep, search insights). AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Review and verify before relying on them; AI output is not legal, financial, medical, or hiring advice.

Training: We do not use your content to train third-party foundation models. We may use de-identified or aggregate usage data to improve the Services.

Inputs/Outputs: You are responsible for what you input and how you use outputs. Don’t submit regulated sensitive data unless we explicityly request it in a clearly labeled flow.

Human judgment: Employers must apply human judgment and comply with hiring laws; our tools assist but don’t make final decisions.

7) Employer/Recruiter/Agency (“Employer” Rules

Accuracy: Job ads must be truthful and include role, location/remote status, employment type, core duties, and compensation/range where required.

Compliance: Follow all applicable laws (EEO/anti-discrimination, pay transparency, FLSA/worker classification, FCRA if using background data, immigration/I-9, privacy).

Prohibited Postings: Disallow—

• Multi-level marketing or “business opportunities” that require purchase/fees.
• Unpaid trials disguised as offers; unpaid internships unless eligible under applicable law/education credit rules.
• Adult/sexual services; illegal/unsafe roles; “reshipping/parcel-mule” or money-movement schemes.
• Roles requiring up-front payment or the purchase of kits/tools (unless clearly lawful and disclosed).
• Deceptive “evergreen” roles posted as current openings.

External ATS: If routing to an external ATS, you are responsible for that experience and compliance, including privacy notice at the point of collection.

Data Use: Use candidate data only for bona fide recruiting for posted roles; no resale or unrelated profiling.

Employer Outreach & On-Platform Job Requirement: Employer contact with users for recruiting is permitted only if: (a) Employer maintains an active paid Employer plan; (b) the specific role at issue is currently posted on Edge of Bliss under the Employer’s account/brand; and (c) outreach is directed to (i) applicants to that posted role, or (ii) users who have opted in to receive employer messages or have indicated they are open to opportunities. Outreach must reference the Edge of Bliss job URL and comply with our anti-spam limits. employers may not contact users about unposted roles, use free business profiles to solicit or harvest leads, or divert users to off platform funnels in lieu of posting on Edge of Bliss. violations may result in message throttling, job or lead access restrictions, suspension or termination, and are ineligible for refunds or credits.

Respect candidate preferences; don’t spam. We may throttle distribution or remove postings that violate these rules or quality standards.

8) Applications, Messaging & Forums

Applications and messages must be used respectfully and lawfully. Forums are public and moderated. We may remove content and suspend/terminate accounts to protect users and the platform, and may preserve/disclose content if required by law or necessary to protect safety or rights.

9) Paid Plans, Billing & Refunds

Some features require payment (e.g., job postings, resume search, candidate spotlight, certain AI tools).

• Auto renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew monthly until canceled. (We may introduce annual options later.)
• Cancellations: You can cancel anytime; cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing cycle. Example: paid on Sept 1; cancel Sept 10; service remains until Oct 1; no further charges; no refund.
• No prorated refunds and no money-back guarantees, except where explicitly offered in a clearly labeled promotion.
• Payment processing: Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize charges for fees, applicable taxes, and adjustments.
• Price changes: We may change pricing/tier features with notice; changes apply on the next renewal unless you cancel.

9A) Invoiced Business Accounts 

For approved enterprise customers only (typically greater than US$10,000/month):

• Terms: Net 15. Invoices are due upon receipt and late after the due date.
• Late fees: The greater of 1.5% per month (non-compounding) or the maximum allowed by law, assessed from the day after the due date.
• Delinquency: We may suspend access 10 days after the due date if payment isn’t received; terminate after 30 days delinquent.
• Collections: You agree to pay reasonable costs of collection (including attorneys’ fees).
• No set-off: You may not set off or withhold amounts owed to us based on claims or credits.
• Large orders: We may require a deposit/prepayment or limit credit.
• Disputes: Billing disputes must be raised within 10 days of invoice date with detail; undisputed amounts remain payable.

9B) Taxes

Fees are exclusive of taxes. We (or Stripe on our behalf) will collect and remit U.S. sales/use taxes where required. For customers outside the U.S.: you are responsible for any VAT/GST and similar taxes; if eligible, the reverse-charge may apply and you must provide valid tax IDs. You are responsible for any required withholding; if withholding applies, you will gross up payments so we receive the full amount charged.

10) Intellectual Property & Feedback

The Services, software, UI, branding, and site content are owned by Edge of Bliss or our licensors and protected by IP laws. Except as explicitly granted, we reserve all rights.

• No reverse engineering or creation of derivative/competitive services from our data/UI.
• Feedback: You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use suggestions without restriction or compensation.

11) Third-Party Services & Links

We integrate with or link to third-party sites (e.g., ATS/HR systems). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices; we’re not responsible for them. Use them at your own risk.

12) Privacy; Communications

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data. We do not sell personal information for advertising or other non-employment purposes. Advertising (if any) is contextual or broad-audience, not cross-site targeted. You agree to receive transactional emails and in-product messages; you can opt out of marketing emails anytime.

13) Copyright (DMCA)

If you believe content infringes your rights, send a DMCA notice containing the required elements. We may terminate repeat infringers.

14) Export Controls & Sanctions

You may not use the Services where prohibited by U.S. export control/sanctions laws or for prohibited end-uses/end-users.

15) Beta & Pre-Release

We may offer experimental features (“Beta”) provided as-is and subject to change or discontinuation.

16) Warranty Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES (INCLUDING AI FEATURES) ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED (INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR RELIABILITY). YOUR USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

17) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EDGE OF BLISS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOEES, AGENTS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR DATA.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO EDGE OF BLISS FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.

18) Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Edge of Bliss and its affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of the Agreement or law.

19) Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access in our sole discretion (e.g., for suspected violations, risk to users, non-payment, fraud/abuse, or legal requests). Upon termination, your license ends and you must stop using the Services. Sections intended to survive (IP, payments due, disclaimers, limitations, indemnities, arbitration) survive.

20) Electronic Communications; E-Sign

When you use the Services or email us, you are communicating electronically and consent to receive communications electronically. We may provide legal notices via email, posting, or in-product messages. Electronic signatures/consents have the same effect as ink signatures, where permitted.

21) Governing Law (Wyoming); Venue

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to paragraph 22 (Arbitration), the exclusive venue for permitted court actions is in state or federal courts in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

22) Arbitration; Class-Action Waiver; Jury Waiver

Arbitration: Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Services will be resolved by binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act and the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) before a single arbitrator. Location is Sheridan County, Wyoming, or remote at the arbitrator’s discretion.

Class-Action Waiver: Disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis—no class, collective, or representative actions or arbitrations.

Jury Waiver: If a matter proceeds in court, both parties waive jury trial.

Small Claims; Injunctive Relief: Either party may seek relief in small-claims court for qualifying claims or seek injunctive relief to prevent unauthorized use or IP misappropriation. 

30-Day Opt-Out: You may opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@edgeofbliss.com within 30 days of first of first acceptance, with your full name, account email, and a statement opting out.

23) Miscellaneous

• Assignment:You may not assign this Agreement without our prior written consent; we may assign to an affiliate or in a merger/asset transfer.
• Force Majeure: We aren’t liable for delays/failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
• Severability; Waiver: If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. No waiver is implied by a failure to enforce.
• Entire Agreement: These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Edge of Bliss regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements.
