Edge of Bliss Community Standards
Effective Date: September 21, 2025
Why This Exists
Edge of Bliss is a skills-first career platform for adults 18+. We’re here to help people connect, learn, and grow into great roles, and to help employers hire fairly and efficiently. These Community Standards explain what’s expected of everyone using our platform (candidates, employers, and guests). By participating anywhere on Edge of Bliss (profiles, messages, forums, job ads, AI tools), you agree to follow these Standards and our Terms of Service.
Our Core Principles
- Respect & civility. Disagree with ideas without attacking people.
- Accuracy & honesty. Represent your skills, roles, and openings truthfully.
- Safety & privacy. Protect your own information and never share others’ without permission.
- Use as intended. Edge of Bliss is for professional development, networking, and hiring—not for spam, scams, or unrelated promotion.
- Human-driven decisions. AI can help, but people make the final calls.
The Short Version (TL;DR)
- Be professional. No harassment, hate, threats, doxxing, or “trolling.”
- No spam, phishing, scams, malware, scraping, or reverse engineering.
- Keep posts lawful and appropriate for a professional audience.
- Job ads must be real, clear, compliant, and include required pay info where the law says so.
- Use AI responsibly; don’t post AI-fabricated claims or credentials.
- Violations may lead to content removal, mutes/suspensions, bans, and account or posting limits—at our discretion.
- See something off? Report it (details below).
What’s Not Allowed (applies to ALL content and behavior)
1. Harrasment & Abuse
- Insults, slurs, bullying, dogpiling, derogatory stereotypes, or demeaning remarks about protected characteristics.
- Threats of violence or property damage; celebrating harm or self-harm.
- Doxxing (sharing private/identifying info about others).
2. Hate, Extremist, or Violent Content
- Hate speech or advocacy for violence against indificuals or groups.
- Praise, support, or recruitment for extremist or violent organizations.
3. Spam, Scams, and Deception

- Impersonation of a person or organization; misrepresenting credentials, clearances, or employment history.
4. Illegal or Unsafe Activity
- Anything that violates law or encourages others to do so (including money-mule/reshipping schemes).
- Malware, exploits, or instructions to bypass security controls.
5. Sexual Content & Exploitation
- Adult/sexual services; sexual solicitation; suggestive content is permitted only when necessary for a bona fide job function (e.g., healthcare, trust & safety, fashion/swimwear, casting with intimacy coordination) and must be professional, non-erotic, and free of explicit nudity. Adult/sexual services and erotic content are prohibited.
- Absolute zero tolerance for CSAM (child sexual abuse material) or the sexualization of minors.
6. Privacy Violations & Confidential Info

7. Platform Misuse
- Scraping, bulk harvesting, unauthorized automation, rate-limit abuse.

Content-Specific Standards
A) Resumes & Profiles (Candidates)
- Be truthful about roles, dates, skills, clearances, education, and achievements.
- Label AI-assisted text if asked; you are responsible for its accuracy.
- Avoid sensitive data (e.g., SSNs, medical details) unless required in a secure, clearly labeled flow.
B) Job Postings (Employers, Recruiters, Agencies)
- Real & current roles only. Close or update postings promptly.
- Clarity & compliance: state role title, core duties, employment type, location/remote status, required skills, and—where required by law—pay range.
- Prohibited: MLM or “business opportunity” schemes; unpaid trials disguised as jobs; unpaid internships unless lawful under your jurisdiction and education-credit rules; adult/sexual services; illegal/unsafe roles; money-movement/reshipping schemes; roles requiring up-front purchases (unless lawful and clearly disclosed).
- No forced paywalls/registrations before applying, beyond legitimate ATS workflows that disclose privacy terms.

D) Direct Messages & Outreach
- Respect opt-outs and frequency—no spam.
- No pressuring for personal contact details or off-platform moves if the recipient declines.
- No phishing or links to unsafe downloads.
E) AI Tools on Edge of Bliss
- AI is assistive; verify outputs before using. Don’t paste proprietary or highly sensitive data into generic fields.
- Do not post AI-generated claims you can’t substantiate (e.g., fabricated employers, degrees, clearances).
- Employers: AI may help shortlist, but humans must make hiring decisions and comply with applicable laws.
Reporting Problems
Use the Report button (where available) or email support@edgeofbliss.com with the URL, screenshots, and a short description.
For urgent safety issues (e.g., threats, doxxing), put “URGENT” in the subject line.
For IP/copyright concerns, see our DMCA instructions on the Terms page or email dmca@edgeofbliss.com.
What we do:
We prioritize urgent safety risks first, then time-order other reports. We may contact you for more details. We can remove content without notice to prevent harm.

We use a graduated approach and may skip steps for serious or repeat violations. Actions can include:
- Nudge/notice (clarify the rule; request edits).
- Content removal (post/comment/job pulled; visibility limits).
- Feature limits (e.g., posting paused; first-post approval; rate limits; slow-mode).
- Temporary measures:
- Mutes: 24-72 hours for forum posting or messaging.
- Suspension: typically 7 days; up to 30 days for severe cases.
5. Permanent actions:
- Ban of user or business account.
- Job-posting disablement or resume-search suspension for employers.
- Subscription cancellation per the Terms (no refunds on current cycle).
We also act on off-platform conduct that creates a credible, immediate risk to user safety (e.g., threats tied to our community).
