Outside Sales is responsible for generating new business and seeing the sale through to completion. This position will prospect new customers and cultivate current customer relationships to grow the account base. Outside Sales will frequently visit customers at active constructions sites, customer offices or any variety of meeting locations throughout the Denver Metro area.


Essential Functions:

Build and maintain professional relationships with customers by providing outstanding customer service.
Maintain and expand the customer base within an assigned territory and/or industries.
Research potential customers and follow through on sales leads.
Evaluate customers’ needs to capitalize on additional selling opportunities.
Maintain approved profit margins.
Follow credit application procedures for new and existing customers.
Complete and turn in sales call reports as defined by your manager.
Utilize performance improving software including RepMove and Click Up.
Attend meetings and sales trainings, as well as complete the published list of Sphere 1 University classes and other professional development.
Protect Tool Country by keeping information confidential.
Communicate with team members/managers effectively.
Have a high sense of urgency in all things.
Occasionally, help the warehouse team pull orders, load pallets, load trucks and deliver inventory to customer locations.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:

Sitting, standing and walking intermittently throughout the day; may stand and drive for long periods.
Frequent use of office equipment such as computer, mouse, keyboard, printer.
Frequent exposure to warehouse operations with noise levels that may vary and include large trucks, forklifts, groups of construction workers, etc.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.
Use specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to regularly lift to 50-75 pounds.

Comfortable working with technology, PCs and software systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office programs and Outlook.
Able to analyze a situation quickly and prioritize based on company guidelines.
Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Prior Outside Sales Experience strongly preferred.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level.
Expected Hours of Work:

This role is considered full-time, working approximately 40 hours per week and is not eligible for overtime. This position is expected to work an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:00am and 5:30pm. Occasional overtime and longer shifts may be required to fulfill the Outside Sales position obligations. Travel within the geographic region will be required.
