The TAOS Sales Manager is a skilled position and group sales history coupled with overall sales knowledge are key for a successful candidate applying for this position. A technical skill set in support technology and software coupled with high-level organizational skills will also be considered for the right candidate.

The Sales Manager’s job duties include all aspects of following the sales funnel process. A qualified candidate will have experience prospecting for leads and clients and continue along the sales funnel by facilitating lead and inquiry calls to providing proposals and then delivering contracts and negotiating the terms of those contracts. Ultimately the qualified candidate will close the deal by solidifying and executing the contracts. Post contract relationships are also a paramount aspect of this role, and the candidate will also help fulfill the group on site by various means to support the entire operations of TAOS. Utilization of our sales technology platforms is key to a successful sale

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions, and campaigns
Directing and coordinating all sales activities locally, regionally, and nationally
Preparing sales budgets and projections and approving expenditures
Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding services.
Working with Director of Sales to set discount rates and determining price schedules.
Advising wholesalers and travel agents on policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Creation, maintenance, and submission of periodic reporting related to sales and revenue analysis of sales segments.
Developing SOPs for their aspect(s) of sales within the department
Serving as the face of the organization to internal and external clients
Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation.
Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients
Setting sales quotas and goals with guidance from Director of Sales
Ability to travel to various industry and travel shows along with client’s site visits.
Overseeing and directing performance of the sales segment(s) (Group, Business and Corporate)
Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities.
Defining and executing territory sales plans
Creating and curating outbound sales efforts to generate awareness and drive leads.
Handling all inbound sales leads and ensuring prompt responses to prospective clients
Facilitate clients through the sales funnel ultimately leading to bookings and secured business.
Assist all resort teams in the execution of booked events and groups.
Learning and Comprehension of various support tools/ software
IVVY (CRM)
Siriusware (Lift Ticket, Lesson and Rental Software)
SMS (Internal Lodging Software)
Inntopia (External Lodging Software)

Qualifications/Knowledge:
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Work Environment:

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holidays and Peak days. TSVI is in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff. Travel will be required during trade shows, industry events and client visits.

Physical Demands of Position Include:

20% of time spent standing/walking. 60% of time at a computer. 20% of time spent moving objects – potential lifting 10-25lbs, rarely up to 50lbs, and using a dolly and/or equipment.

Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
