Position Summary:

This position assumes responsibility for driving new business by leveraging Fathom’s industry leading technologies via direct sales and proactively manage a geographic territory for maximum sales by responding to opportunities, face-to-face client visits, prospecting, regular contact with the accounts in the territory, and obtaining referrals from satisfied customers.?

  • Responsible for Strategic?Prospecting Initiatives: develop and execute strategies to create new business relationships
  • Successfully utilize a consultative approach to assess needs and identify companies and organizations where Fathom offers the most strategic value
  • Engage with end users, and necessary internal sectors; this includes but is not limited to OEM engineers, PMs, DE’s, and production managers
  • Fostering Customer Relationships: Manage and ensure the success of Fathom customers including ongoing account management, customer satisfaction, and account maintenance
  • Build long term customer relationships to cultivate accounts and maximize opportunity
  • Drive partnerships that meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Meet annual sales quotas by direct selling the full suite of Fathom services
  • Manage direct account base?
  • Ability to build strategic account plans to meet growth objectives and execute against the plan
  • Continually develop improvement for sales and processes in conjunction with Sales team and managers

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct reports

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; and talk or hear. Position may require repetitive movements. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of WorkHybrid: Core days and hours of work are based upon Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. When required to be onsite, punctual and regular attendance is essential.

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to attend off site customer visits and meetings with assigned strategic accounts

Preferred/Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, and
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in a?quota-carrying?position?in similar industry, and
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing, manufacturing, materials, and the new product development process, and
  • Experience closing average deal size over $500K, and?
  • Successful track record and comfortable with complex, consultative engagements advocating for adoption and driving utilization of a new technology, and
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
