192 Servers are food and beverage specialists that perform standard server duties while upholding the specific standards of 192. Servers are responsible for accommodating all guests within 192, the Patio, pool, or Blake areas. Anticipating the needs of the guests and responding politely to their requests are musts while maintaining the free spirit and enthusiasm of the adventurous mountain atmosphere.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand 192 Concept, theme of The Blake Hotel, and all menus completely.
  • Requires comprehensive and thorough product and menu knowledge of 192 food and beverage items.
  • Execute service standards for presentation, delivery of food and beverage, and service based on training. Must be willing to participate in regular and on-going training.
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of and practices responsible alcohol service.
  • Check identification of customers, to ensure that they are of legal drinking age.
  • Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, operate cash registers, return the change.
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of and practices safe food handling practices.
  • Participate in solid teamwork at all times.
  • Assisting in food running and Expo at all times.
  • Assisting fellow team members providing for guest delight.
  • Order daily supplies or communicate inventory needs to appropriate management when running low.
  • Pleasant and frequent interactions with guests including greeting and welcoming back upon departure.
  • Identify areas of opportunity within the operation to enhance speed of delivery, quality of food and beverage, consistency and quality of the delivery experience and being empowered to constantly improve it.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Understands and can communicate events, products, and services available at the resort.
  • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by Food and Beverage Director, Chef’s, The Blake Food and Beverage Manager, or any other Manager.
  • Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays.
  • Conducts proper operation, cleaning, and maintenance of any service equipment necessary.
  • Assist in the execution of any food and beverage catering or other special events
  • Follow checklists and other guidelines for opening and closing duties.

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
  • Ambition to grow and cultivate into higher position.
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of guest service.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle, store and rotate food properly.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of Dish machine and Back of House Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
  • Ability to read and employ math skills to manage cash and credit card transactions.
  • Ability to communicate in a positive and productive manner while tasking
  • Basic knowledge of assortment of menus and services.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.

Work Environment:

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions. Wet surfaces may exist and sharp objects are located throughout the work area.

Physical Demands of Position Include:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. 90-100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. 25-50% of the time may be spent climbing/balancing, being exposed to the outdoors including winter weather conditions. Occasionally sitting – less than 15% of the time.

Background Check

Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check.
