Primary Objective:

The Sales Engineering Manager is passionate about Spectrio products and mission. As a leader within Logistics, the Sales Engineering Manager will lead the teams that support clients and the sales organization through product demonstrations, recommendations/custom solutions, order inspection, and installation support; as well as provide direct support for supply chain, project management, implementation, and provisioning needs/initiatives as needed.


  • Manage, motivate and improve the sales engineering team by providing guidance and training on best practices
  • Evaluate current state of processes and develop new processes that will provide efficiencies within the department.
  • Track employee productivity on order approval, order accuracy, follow-up, and days to completion to meet all customer expectations.
  • Become key liaison to the sales team and engage with stakeholders to meet C-Sat and total time to go live numbers.
  • Create KPI’s and key performance goals that will provide high levels of service within the team.
  • Manage all daily processes and report deficiencies and accomplishments to senior leadership.
  • Manage time and attendance.

Manage the entire sales engineering team on the following:

  • Working closely with the sales team to ensure all sales opportunities are vetted and confirmed as accurate to specs as possible by researching the hardware and software.
  • Enter into netsuite ERP system and approve all incoming sales orders by verifying hardware pricing, image, and location layout.
  • Understanding technical product specifications and keeping up-to-date with new company products as well as industry trends.
  • Providing guidance and support to installation vendors.
  • Conducting market research and obtaining feedback from clients to improve existing products.
  • Writing reports and liaising with the production team regarding issues, foreseeable problems, and effective solutions.
  • Simplifying technical terms during product demonstrations and post-sales customer support.
  • Maintaining strong professional relationships with existing clients and meeting with new clients to expand sales territories.
  • Updating orders and sales and negotiating the best contract terms.
  • Listening to customers’ needs and advising them on the best products for their needs.
  • Contributing to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Communicating effectively with team members, customers, and audiences of all technical levels
  • Integrating our solutions with partner systems using a variety of protocols
  • Continuous improvement to processes and practices with new ideas, concepts, methods, and technologies
  • All other duties as assigned


  • BA/BS University degree or equivalent experience in business/finance or computer science
  • 3 to 5 years of similar experience leading sales engineering or project management teams
  • Familiarity with office software and phone systems
  • Comfortable in working with cross-functional teams to drive efficient resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive in task completion.
  • Highly professional with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with decisive judgment skills

*Position is Remote. Considering candidates in the Southeast U.S. including FL, NC & TX .
