The Role

The Sales Development Specialist is responsible for managing customer relationships and driving new business development by approaching prospective customers, winning new clients and accomplishing sales goals. In addition, the Sales Development Specialist is responsible for maintaining client satisfaction and service to assigned accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and see-through business plans to achieve sales goals
  • Focus on building and maintaining relationships while managing multiple customer accounts to best meet the customer needs
  • Negotiating terms of sales and agreements and closing sales with customers
  • Present products to clients both prospective and current and develop long-term relationships by traveling to trade shows or individual trips as needed
  • Inspecting inventory in stock and quality of product on display
  • Responding to customer queries and resolving their objections so to close a sale
  • Follow market trends to best suit customer needs.
  • Providing customers with detailed and accurate quotations and cost calculations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing, or other related discipline or equivalent experience is required
  • 2+ years of proven sales experience in fine jewelry, luxury goods
  • Ability to follow sales process from initial contact through closing the sale
  • Ability and willingness to travel often (some weekends) to client meetings or trade shows
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, solid Excel skills & ERP systems (SAP a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills and good judgement required
  • Adaptable and ability to work in a fast- paced

    environment are essential, including the ability to meet constant deadlines, and work with minimal supervision

  • Great people skills and customer focused
