Sales Account Manager – Public Works Responsibilities

  • Commit to and achieve a targeted level of sales and sales growth annually
  • Assess vehicle and equipment needs of current and potential customers while developing relationships with key decision-makers and end users
  • Quote vehicles and equipment, process orders, project manage to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Prospect and develop new accounts, qualify leads and create sales opportunities within our region
  • Follow up on all sales leads in an efficient and timely manner
  • Participate in trade shows and other sales events to promote vehicles and equipment sales
  • Follow company procedures and guidelines throughout the sales process


Requirements for Sales Account Manager – Public Works

  • 2 – 3 years of sales account manager experience
  • Prior experience selling to municipalities, and state agencies highly preferred
  • Prior experience responding to government bids, and quoting per government contracts highly preferred
  • Must be computer literate, prior Configure-Price-Quote experience highly desirable
  • Prior experience configuring government or commercial fleet medium and heavy-duty trucks required
  • Technical, mechanical or engineering background is beneficial

  • Has a passion for solving customer problems and selling the most appropriate solution through a consultative sales process
  • Enjoys talking trucks and related equipment
  • Possesses excellent communication, time management, and administrative skill
  • Is relationship and value driven
