Recruiter Job Description Summary

Responsible for designing and implementing an overall recruiting strategy for Home Health and Hospice positions. Developing and updating all job descriptions and job specifications for open positions within the company. Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives. Source and attract candidates by using databases, social media etc. Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes. Act as a point of contact during the selection process. Promote the company’s reputation as “best place to work”.

Recruiter Essential Job Functions & Responsiblities

  • Partners with Human Resources, Director of Patient Services, Director of Rehabilitation, and Operations Manager to determine staffing needs.
  • Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in person), administer appropriate assessments, and make recommendations for hire (or not hire) for both exempt and non-exempt position openings within an assigned territory.
  • Serve as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned territory.
  • Use traditional and non-traditional resources to identify and attract quality candidates such as career fairs, on-line job fairs, community network events, etc.
  • Develop advertising programs (internal and external) in order to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Follow up with Director Human Resources, Director of Patient Services, Director of Rehabilitation, and Operations Managers to ensure updated information on the interview process status.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  • Manage current candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Manage application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  • Complete weekly report on recruiting activity.
  • Coordinate for pre-employment process.
  • New hire onboarding coordination.
  • File management
  • Coordinate with other team members for HR compliance and record maintenance.
  • Other responsibilities or tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Recruiter Position Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a recruiter, Health Care experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency( G-Suites, MS office, LinkedIn recruiter, social media, etc.)
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency based, stress etc.)
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, face to face interviews)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or Science
  • 1-3 years of sales experience preferred.

  • Medium proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
  • Good judgment and decision making skills.
  • Able to motivate and empower others to reach organizational goals.

This is an on-site role in our Sacramento office

FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-Time
