As an Receptionist/Inside Sales Support, you will be an enthusiastic connector between our outside sales team and our customers and support the administrative responsibilities of a building materials distribution center. The focus of this job is supporting the sales team and greeting making connections with people, build an understanding of our products and culture, and ensuring customer orders are processed accurately. An ideal candidate will work best in a fast-paced environment where results need to be shared and effectively delegated when necessary. Patience, accountability, and a detailed work-ethic are key.

Responsibilities:

  • Greets customers, vendors and other visitors who enter the building
  • Operate phone system to route incoming calls
  • Inventory, order and distribute office supplies
  • Monitor operation of all office equipment
  • Make service calls
  • Plan or assist with company sponsored customer/employee events
  • Data Entry for sales
  • Work with Sales Team to complete necessary documents
  • Help make daily calls and take orders for accounts

Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for 8 hours a day
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • PC Proficiency and keyboarding skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to handle the fast paced environment of a building materials distribution center
  • Experience in working in a distribution company is a plus
  • Willing to jump in and roll up your sleeves to help out when necessary
  • Flexibility to support others as needed.
