The Marshall News Messenger, a member of the M. Roberts Media family of newspapers, is seeking a self-motivated, success driven Multimedia Sales Representative to join our team.
More than a newspaper, The Marshall News Messenger offers readers the opportunity to access news and advertising online via its website, social media including Facebook and Twitter or a digital E-Edition replica of the print edition on the News Messenger’s free app. As a Multimedia Sales Representative for this dynamic newspaper, you’ll be able to offer clients advertising in any one or all of these paths to their customers. We are seeking candidates with a a proven track record of:
- Developing and presenting multifaceted strategies to meet their client’s needs; preferable in advertising campaigns
- Identifying and developing new clients
- Up-selling contracts to existing and potential clients
- Selling non-traditional projects, such as niche publications, commercial printing, digital advertising, special sections, and special events
- Assisting with creative interactions with clients

Requirements:
- Previous business-to-business sales a plus but not required. We will train a candidate with the right attitude.
- No fear of cold calling, strong closing skills and consultative sales approach
- Candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening
- Proficient MS Office computer skills and strong understanding of the internet
- Valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
