SCOPE OF POSITION :

CS is looking for a dynamic Inside Sales Specialist who will assist in elevating the overall customer experience within the CS National Accounts division. The Inside Sales Specialist reports into the Sales Support Manager and is responsible for supporting sales efforts in both the pre-sales and post-sales stage. Major duties include – follow up and alignment with current and targeted accounts, to enhance customer satisfaction and increase closed won opportunities. The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for implementing the onboarding and welcome program for new customers and opportunities. Inside Sales will provide target opportunity and account insights for the National Account Sales Manager by compiling and assessing competitive data, plan reviews, collaborative approach cold calling, estimating, and assisting senior account specialists. Generation of quotes, bidding, and administrative tasks are also required.

Ideally, the candidate should be located within 45 minutes from the Kennesaw, GA office and a major airport. The position requires 20% or more travel

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Sales Support
    • Maintain a working knowledge of all products, services, and the construction industry.
    • Coordinates and communicates activities and results with Inside Sales Manager.
    • Provides support and compilation of RFP data.
    • Researches and compiles key competitive data as a resource.
    • Researches and connects with appropriate contacts to ensure all specs for CS National Accounts are up to date.
  • Pre-Sales
    • Follows up directly with targeted or designated customers to determine status of outstanding opportunities resulting in increased bookings.
    • Generates budgetary quotes for NASM to present to end users on opportunities.
    • Assist with lead generation by engaging with targeted customers through collaborative cold calling efforts
    • Utilizes resources and tools such as Construct Connect, Global Data, Marketo, etc. to analyze and report on targeted customers’ existing product specs, strength of spec, as well as CS comparable products for consideration.
    • Analyzes order history reporting for potential National Accounts fulfilled by other CS Divisions to identify potential CS NA opportunities for NASM
    • Assists in coordinating custom sample and mock up requests.
    • Assists in coordinating and overseeing Test Store order progress and completion.
  • Post Sales
    • Develops monthly metrics to track success rate of outstanding quotes, competition on lost quotes, etc. for designated co-spec accounts.
    • Coordinates follow-up efforts with NASM, Estimating and Customer Care Dept.
    • Coordinates revised pricing requirements with Estimating Department and NASM.
    • Prepares and submits monthly reports on effectiveness and measurements of activities, meeting assigned goals, closing ratios in total and by territory, and quotes lost to competition
    • Executes onboarding program for newly won opportunities by providing a welcome package in form of both electronic documents and physical sample kits as needed to kick off start of new relationship.

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION : (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but relevant work experience considered
  • 1 – 3 years of consultative specification sales or experience preferred
  • Customer focus and facing experience; Proven experience building relationships and ability to quickly pick up product knowledge.
  • Knowledge of architectural market and how to work with end users.
  • Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on EXCEL
  • Ability to read and understand the basics of architectural blueprints
  • Understanding of construction processes and key players
  • Well-developed telephone skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate others and effectively gather pertinent information over telephone.
  • High self-confidence and “can do”, confident attitude.
