Why You Are Needed:

As our Inside Sales Estimator you will be the main point of contact for customer proposal requests and are responsible for identifying labor, material, and scope for each job proposal. You will collaborate with fellow estimators, engineers, purchasing as well as other departments to accurately calculate an estimate.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Experience: 2+ years’ experience in sales, excellent communication and negotiation skills, electrical background preferred but not required

  • Develop and submit proposals to customers
  • Communicate with customers to clarify their request for proposal
  • Define costs associated with engineering, production labor, materials, services, and equipment for use in developing proposals for customers.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to gather most current material prices
  • Review past work orders from databases to obtain information for use in bidding future projects
  • Confirm final selling price with appropriate divisional personnel
  • Provide customer with detailed Bill of Material
  • Maintain databases to facilitate the collection of data for estimates including continually updating material and labor costs
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in a formal or informal presentation environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
  • Ability to multi-task and handle varying tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive material
  • Ability to apply organizational skills when given a project as well as handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Use resources effectively to generate solutions and take initiative when resolving problems
