The entry level sales engineer position is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate or someone with 1-3 years of relevant work experience who is looking to launch their career in an outside sales position or sales engineering position at our Corpus Christi location.

Texas Air Products offers a competitive salary and a pleasant, comfortable work environment. Texas Air Products has an exceptional benefits package (listed below). The entry level sales engineer is a full-time position and the salary range is $55,000 to $65,000 annually.

The entry level sales engineer, with growth potential, will perform inside sales functions and will support the outside sales team and our customers to ensure satisfaction and future sales. The candidate will learn sales processes, in-depth product knowledge, and industry knowledge with our sales team. At the end of training, the candidate who meets our expectations will receive assigned territory accounts.

Entry Level Sales Engineer Responsibilities

  • Six to eighteen months of training through classes, seminars, on-the-job learning, and mentorship
  • Develop a thorough understanding of company products and applications
  • Work with experienced salespeople to develop sales skills
  • Provide technical consultation and service to customers to help solve their applications using company products
  • Prepare accurate estimates to minimize risk while maintaining low costs
  • Prepare technical submittal packages for engineering approval
  • Coordinate product delivery and manage warranty and field related issues
  • Maintain our CRM and an organized electronic project filing system


Entry Level Sales Engineer Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Construction Science or related technical degree required
  • Experience with review and understanding of construction drawings preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Great persuasive and negotiation skills
  • Strong customer service and rapport
  • Detail-oriented, organized and continually strives for accuracy and quality
  • Flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
  • Have a competitive spirit and thrive to win
  • Proficient in technology and dealing with equipment and software
