CATERING SALES MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY:

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned catering/food and beverage sales goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. This role will be responsible for effectively servicing clients/groups and maintaining the contracted food and beverage minimum. The CSM will work in conjunction with the Director of Sales to achieve the hotel’s revenue meeting planner satisfaction scores and food and beverage sales goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Detail and execute corporate, social, non-profit and wedding events

  • Engage in catering/wedding shows/expos/ fairs for company exposure

  • Conduct property tours and entertain planners of meetings, social events, and weddings

  • Demonstrate ability to deliver banquet event orders on a timely basis and ensure accuracy

  • Research competitors on wedding trends, offerings, and pricing ensuring the company remains competitive and relevant in the marketplace

  • Monitor, coordinate and communicate event bookings

  • Ensure accuracy of billing and information, as well as maintain up to date profiles with records client feedback post event

  • Management of customer feedback including responding to guest problems and complaints relating to Weddings and Events

  • Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations as applicable

  • Develop a full working knowledge of the operations and policies of the hotel and applicable departments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in similar role preferred

  • Previous luxury and/or independent hotel experience preferred
