GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for all cage operations and cage personnel in absence of Cage/Credit Manager.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following)

1. Supervise and train Cage personnel.

2. Comply with all State Gaming Regulations relating to Title 31.

3. Prepare reports relating to overages, shortages, volume of cash transactions, chip exchanges, checks, etc.

4. Coordinate communication between all shifts.

5. Maintain employee files including performance evaluations, written warnings, GST.

6. Responsible for safeguarding company assets within cage area.

7. Verify cash transactions.

8. Maintain bankroll and control credit instruments.

9. Approve check-cashing and credit privileges up to limits established by Management.

10. Institute and enforce rules and regulations of the Cage/Coin Room.

11. Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

12. Maintain professional attire.

13. Other job related duties as assigned.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform intermediate math calculations. Knowledge of Cage Cashier operation. Understand and comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English. Ability to use an adding machine, jet sort, and cash advance machine and any other computers or equipment necessary to perform job efficiently. Knowledge of Gaming Regulations Title 31. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: High school education or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Minimum two years Casino Cage experience;

Certificate/License: Nevada Gaming work card.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in areas that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or illuminated. Work is performed in an office environment. Work requires use of mechanical devices and computer equipment. Continuous contact with staff and customers.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). Position requires Team Member to enter & exit from the Team Member entrance which entails 4 flights of stairs (40 steps). Requires seldom sitting, repetitive use of both hands with light grasping and finger dexterity with non-dominant hand, reaching, bending and lifting up to 30 lbs., transporting, pushing, pulling and maneuvering of items weighing up to 40 lbs.; occasional walking; frequent standing, light grasping and finger dexterity with the dominant hand. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols, perform clerical functions, compile, coordinate, and analyze information, supervise and instruct others, follow instructions, influence others, meet time requirements, problem solve and use independent judgment and decision making skills. Requires normal vision ranges and absence of color blindness. Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires effective written and verbal communication. Requires reliability and accountability.
