We currently have Associate Software Engineer opportunities in Seattle, WA within the following areas and based on your qualifications you can be considered for one or more openings:

Data Solutions & Platforms – This team is responsible for developing data & analytics solutions for business groups across the enterprise. They are a collaborative engineering team who enjoy delivering innovative solutions to sophisticated business challenges. Examples of platforms and services they are responsible for include – data integration hub, data warehouses, BI tools, data science tools, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and other automation tools.

Platform Engineering – Responsible for translating requirements and user stories into functional software that delivers value to the business. They help make the impossible become possible through the design, development, testing and implementation of complex software for use across The Walt Disney Company.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in software development in Java, and/or Python
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with data integration, data engineering and/or ETL development
  • Knowledge of REST, XML, HTML and CSS
  • Customer service orientation with demonstrated experience building strong relationships with internal or external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud development (preferably within AWS & GCP)
  • Experience in data engineering delivery patterns via HTTPS, SFTP, and API paradigms (ex. REST, GraphQL) is preferred
  • Previous experience with ServiceNow or Salesforce
  • Previous experience with agile software development practices

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA is 97,908 – $131,340 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
