As an Account Specialist, you will play a key contributing role in supporting and driving sales for the Great Lakes region of Reserve Advisors. You’ll find satisfaction with this role if you enjoy interacting with clients, educating them on the Reserve Study industry, and partnering with a dedicated Account Manager in the field. This role is based out of our Chicago office and may require you to interact in person at events, both in the Chicagoland area and in the Great Lakes multi-state region although the majority of the work will be from the office with a hybrid WFH work schedule.

Position Title: Account Specialist

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Regional Executive Director

Position Overview

The Account Specialist processes client information, creates proposal documents and performs a range of sales support and office management duties for a regional office while driving sales growth and expanding the customer base of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs workflow of all sales support activities, research of client property facts in support of client needs assessment, preparation of draft proposal, aerial imagery, client maps, time estimation on the contract, and other statistics in support of the Regional Account Managers
  • Contribute to developing and executing a sales plan with the Account Manager
  • Initiates and tracks the processing of requests for proposals to completion
  • Set up and maintain client information in CRM technology
  • Interact with the client to obtain information required to prepare a proposal
  • Manage the proposal delivery process to clients
  • Triage client requests, inquiries, or complaints
  • Research and execute on attending trade organization and networking events, participating in all aspects of planning and coordination
  • Partner with internal customers to manage client relationships
  • Communicate effectively with all contacts regarding proposals and studies
  • Answer phones and other office management duties
  • Additional duties as may be assigned



  • High school diploma or higher
  • 1-2 years customer service and sales experience in a professional environment
  • PC Proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office and Google Suite preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, both day and overnight
  • Experience in B2B sales environment or in business development role a plus
  • Exceptional accuracy in written and oral communication
  • Salesforce experience a plus

Working Conditions

Standard office environment with frequent computer use. Occasional necessity to lift and carry packages weighing up to 30 pounds.
