At Business Made Simple, our Small Business Flight School Account Executive is positioned as a growth expert for our community of small business owners. This advisor will be responsible for diagnosing the problems limiting growth inside a small business and clearly communicating how using a Flight Plan inside of our “Small Business Flight School” online product will help solve those problems. More specifically our Small Business Flight School Account Executive should be comfortable and confident advising business owners in the 6 areas of the Business Made Simple Framework.

This role will own prospecting, conducting inbound calls, and closing sales for our Small Business Flight School product.

We believe that Flight School can truly help a small business owner double their revenue. Our Small Business Flight School Account Executive should believe the same, and be able to communicate Flight School’s features and benefits with confidence. The ideal candidate is driven by a “never enough” mentality and is comfortable handling a high amount of sales activities per day.

Our Small Business Flight School Account Executive needs to be comfortable with prospecting, and finding business owners to consult in contact lists.

Business Made Simple’s Small Business Flight School is a 6-month program where business owners learn and implement a proven growth plan for their business. Each lesson is designed to increase revenue upon implementation, and when finished, you’ll have a comprehensive growth plan that will help you double your revenue. Additionally, those going through Flight School get access to group coaching sessions where Don himself or members of his team answer your questions about how to apply the plan to your specific business. Any business owner can do this alongside other growth-minded peers they can connect with, learn from, and partner together with to share best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reaching out to qualified prospects to schedule meetings to consult on their business and demo Flight School if appropriate
  • Responsible for reaching out to existing Business Made Simple Subscribers to set “growth” meetings leading to conversations about Flight School
  • Responsible for following up with prospects who show interest but might not be ready to commit to Flight School
  • Responsible for managing a sales pipeline and keeping deal and contact records clean
  • Responsible for clearly communicating the benefits of StoryBrand and Business Made Simple products and staying up to date on all related product changes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven success through effective use of core sales tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment
  • Proven track record of owning your goals and consistently surpassing them
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Can manage multiple tasks at once with ease
  • Builds rapport with staff, contractors, and customers
  • Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.
  • Experience that proves you are a resourceful self-starter that is eager to talk to as many people as possible to see where customer needs can be met and deals can be uncovered
  • The ability to work well independently while collaborating with other teams and leaders


2+ years of experience in sales, sales development, account executive, or account management position


  • $60,000 – $75,000 annually

Position Details

  • Full-time salary + benefits
  • 40+ hours
  • Works remotely but has access to Nashville office and amenities
